The world UPSEA aims for
Tackling the Ocean Plastic Problem
Every year, over 8 million tons of plastic waste flow into the oceans that are part of our planet. At this rate, it is predicted that by 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. UPSEA was founded to address this critical issue.
Giving New Life to Plastic
Our mission at UPSEA is to collect plastic waste that has washed ashore and transform it into new, valuable products. Currently, we primarily offer fins for surfing and SUP, but we plan to expand our product range to include items like sunglasses and apparel in the future.
Building a Sustainable Future with Surfers
Surfers, who love the ocean, experience the changing marine environment firsthand every day. UPSEA is supported by Japan's leading professional surfer Taka Inoue and professional SUP athlete Kei Komatsuyama, who are helping to promote the brand. Our goal is for their outreach to raise awareness about the marine environment among a wider audience.
Protecting the Ocean for the Future
UPSEA donates a portion of its sales to environmental protection organizations and actively participates in marine clean-up efforts. More than just a brand, we aim to spark a movement for environmental preservation and leave a beautiful ocean for future generations.
