Taka Inoue: Thoughts on the Environment

Inoue not only competes but also has a strong interest in environmental issues as a surfer who loves the ocean. In recent years, the marine plastic problem has become increasingly serious worldwide. For surfers, the "ocean" is their field and an irreplaceable presence. However, in reality, marine life is suffering due to the effects of plastic waste, and even the places where they surf are polluted.

UPSEA, as a brand that confronts this problem, has developed fins recycled from marine plastic. Inoue resonates with this philosophy and is actively conscious of making environmentally friendly choices. While striving for the best performance on the competition stage, he also actively participates in actions to protect the ocean for the future.

For the Future of the Ocean

"Surfing is a sport that coexists with nature. That's why I think it's important to consider what we can do and take action," says Inoue. UPSEA, together with Taka Inoue, will advance initiatives to build a sustainable surfing future. His challenge, and UPSEA's challenge, have just begun. Together, let's leave a beautiful ocean for the future.
